What is Side collision?

Posted on:1/3/2006
Side Collisions collisions are a type of car accident that usually occur at intersections or in parking lots, or when two vehicles pass on a multi-lane roadway.

Major side collisions may cause one or more of the involved vehicles to subsequently roll over. Speed and failure to look for approaching traffic before proceeding are often factors behind these collisions.

Side collisions can be subdivided into those collisions occuring between vehicles who meet at an angle (as at an intersection) and those occuring between two vehicles traveling approximately in parallel (as when passing a vehicle going the same direction) or anti-parallel (as when passing an oncoming vehicle).
