You should know...

It's not your fault if you are rear-ended, or hit by someone going through a red light, or injured by a car or bus driver going too fast. In most cases, this is the other driver's fault. We can be as careful as possible, whether walking or driving or just being good passengers, but if another driver is engaged in bad driving, we face the possibility of getting injured.

TIP: If injured, make a report to the police right away. Do not make "private deals" with the careless driver, who begs and begs, because they do not want another police report on their driving record. Most of the time, when you leave the scene without the police coming first, the careless driver is later going to deny it happened the way it did!
