In 1969, two young trial lawyers from Port Arthur, TX, started a law firm that has become a Texas legend with a nationwide reputation for helping individuals recover losses for injuries. The son of a constable (David Provost, now deceased) and the son of a justice of the peace (Walter Umphrey, our firm's managing partner) started a tradition of helping individuals get the justice they need and deserve.

The Provost Umphrey Law Firm's principal office is a renovated fruit warehouse in Beaumont, Texas. Saved from a wrecking ball, the 1923 building serves as the nerve center for 53 attorneys, more than 200 staff members, and seven other offices. Our law firm focuses all of its resources and practice areas on obtaining justice for individuals.

Our office is in Beaumont Texas and I am currently handled cases in Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois , Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. I am licensed to Practice in the State of Texas and Pennsylvania. I am admitted to Practice in the All Federal Districts of Texas. I am admitted to Practice in the U.S 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. I was recently named a Texas Super Lawyer Rising Star.
