Metoyer v. Roy O. Martin12/1/2004 olations of La.R.S. 23:1201 by Martco. Furthermore, I believe the workers' compensation judge's award of attorney fees was not an abuse of discretion. The workers compensation noted the sheer volume of documentary evidence presented in this matter and the large number of issues raised as the basis for the award. Additionally, the representation of Ms. Metoyer was undoubtedly made more burdensome by the fact that she resided in another state from the time the claim was filed until the hearing nearly two years later. Because of Mr. Flournoy's experience in workers' compensation matters and the time required by the many complex issues presented here, I believe the award of attorney fees was reasonable.
