We concluded above that the evidence of record in this case is insufficient to support the jury's award of zero damages for Thompson's pain and suffering. As a result, we also conclude that the District Court did not abuse its discretion in granting Thompson's motion for a new trial on the issue of damages for pain and suffering.
Affirmed.
