Intentional Tort; Man beaten with shotgun; $35,000 Settlement

Several months ago, I settled a personal injury suit in which a young man claimed to have been beaten by an intoxicated man with the butt end of a shotgun. The plaintiff lost no wages, but did incur a negligible amount of medical expenses. As imagined, the facts concerning the altercation were hotly contested. The case settled for $35,000.
