FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about National Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (NAPIL).

Q. What is the annual membership fee?

A. We offer two membership plans:

1- Link Membership:

By Link Membership, we mean that you agree to place a link from your website to NAPIL. Guidelines are at www.NAPIL.com/linkx. Link Membership is free.

2- Gold Membership: Prices for Gold Membership is stated on the registration page.

Q. What is the difference between Link Membership and Gold Membership?

A. When a member visits the site, they see all the members, which include Link and Gold Members. However, the paid Gold members are ranked higher within the site.

The consumer who needs a lawyer may contact either group of lawyers and is not aware of the difference.

Sometimes, the consumer fills out a Simple Form and submits it. When this form is filled out, it becomes a lead in our system. We offer such leads to paid members only. That is the main advantage of Gold Membership: you get our leads.

Q. How does this directory work?

A. A user can search this site by Zip code, City, and County. When searched by zip code, the system returns all law firms within 300 miles of that zip code based on distance, who are within that state. When searched by City or County, the system displays all law firm assigned to those cities or counties. The system generates the listing randomly, however paid Gold Members are ranked higher.

Q. How is a firm assigned to a given city or county within a state?

A. When a firm signs up, it is assigned to the county where its zip code is as well all counties near it. The system assigns as many as 75% of the counties within a small state like Hawaii and as low as 40% for large states like Texas. If you wish to modify the counties assigned to your firm, please send an email to the administrator at pi@napil.com.

Q. What if a firm wants to appear in additional counties within a state?

A. If you wish to appear in more counties or modify the counties you are assigned, please send an email to the admin at pi@napil.com.

Q. What if a firm wants to appear in more than one state?

A. A firm that wishes to appear in more than one state must register in one state and then send an email to the admin pi@napil.com to sign up for additional states. There is no Free Link Membership for additional states.

Q. Is this site owned and operated by a non-profit organization?

A. No. NAPIL is owned and operated by FDP Inc., a California Corporation which operates this site for profit. To contact the company, please write to: David Sheehan NAPIL 23945 Calabasas Road Suite 106, Calabasas, CA 91302.

Q. Can a member firm edit the profile?

A. Yes. A member firm can edit the profile at any time. However, to do so, the firm must disable the profile and make the changes. The firm must then request a review of the new content. A human editor at NAPIL then reviews the profile and enables the profile, at which time the profile appears on the site. Please note that while the profile is disabled, it does not appear on the site.

Q. Can the contact information on the profile be modified?

A. Yes. All contact information appearing in the profile may be modified at any time. However, the destination website address may not be modified. Member firms must email such info to NAPIL for review first.

Q. How can one Edit the profile?

A. To Edit a profile, please login to your account and click on the Help tab on the far right. Complete information is available at the Help tab.
